Angela Flannery is a partner in Holding Redlich’s Corporate and Commercial group, with over 20 years’ experience as both a partner in private practice and in senior Australian Commonwealth Government roles, including roles as General Counsel and First Assistant Secretary at the Department of Communications and the Arts.
Ms Flannery has broad commercial law expertise, with a particular focus on telecommunications, media and technology (TMT), acting for clients in transactional and regulatory matters, including in acquisitions, competition law advice, licensing arrangements, telecommunications services, adtech and broader ICT (including cloud services) contractual arrangements, regulatory reviews and compliance advice and cybersecurity and privacy audits and reviews. She regularly assists clients in engagement with Government and regulators, including the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
Ms Flannery has extensive knowledge of the regulatory framework governing the communications sector in Australia, including relating to telecommunications infrastructure, spectrum regulation, consumer regulation (including privacy) and the changing regulation in the media and content areas.
