Alexander’s main area of practice is real estate law, including litigation and advice in every type of real estate or real estate-related transaction, from conveyancing, leases and real estate development, to specialized commercial utilization such as leasing of shopping malls, sale and lease-back arrangements and public-private real estate development and real estate privatization, as well as the tax aspects of such transactions. His clientele ranges from private investors to real estate funds and overseas financiers intersted in various sectors including commercial property, residential, hotels, and retail, industrial and landed estates.
Alexander also deals with cases of commercial, banking and corporate law and has extensive experience in international transactions and business related litigation matters, including contract liability and earnest money disputes. He has represented domestic and international companies, as real estate companies, pharmaceutical companies, banks and their subsidiaries (Credit Agricole Group, Alpha Bank, Laiki Factors & Forfaiters, Domino’s Pizza Greece, Vocate Pharmaceuticals S.A., Public Transports S.A., Bros Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Trinitek S.A. etc).
Due to his expertise, he has been involved as the legal counsel of the Minister for Development and Competitiveness, Kostis Hatzidakis, to the development of the recently enacted Greek Act: 4146/2013 “Creation of a Development Friendly Environment for Strategic and Private Investments”, which grants permanent residence permits to non-EU investors and their families in return for property investments of a minimum value of 250,000 Euros (the so-called Golden Visa), offering free entrance to all Schengen-area countries.
